The Optoma ZU860 is a 3D-DLP projector offering 8500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 30000 hours, which translates to 20.5 years with 4 hours of daily use. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 937 cm can be illuminated with 8500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 625 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. The projector was released in 2019 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
