The ES550 model is a 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector from Optoma, intended for Standard-Portabel applications, offering 2800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 at SVGA 800 x 600. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Regarding projection size, the value of 2800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 461 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 307 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. With a value of only 28 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
