This projector from Optoma utilizes 3D-Laser-DLP technology, achieving 4200 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 1800:1 at a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 30000 hours, covering an estimated 20.5 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 51 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 658 cm can be illuminated with 4200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 439 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 29 decibels.
