With the EX855, Optoma offers a 3D-DLP projector that features 5500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projection Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. A look at the light output reveals: The 5500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 646 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 431 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
