As a projector for the Short Distance sector, the Optoma W318ST is equipped with 3500 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast of 20000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 6000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 8.2 years possible. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 108 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 3500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 601 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 401 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 28 decibels. This model dates back to 2018 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range.
