Designed for the Short Distance sector, the X318ST model from Optoma features 3300 ANSI lumens, a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast ratio of 20000:1. According to Optoma, the included lamp lasts up to 6000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 8.2 years. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 128 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3300 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 500 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 333 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
