The projector GS5100 by Optoma utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 2800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 at a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 461 cm can be illuminated with 2800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 307 cm. With a value of only 28 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2012, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
