The equipment of the Optoma HD36UST projector includes 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 22000:1 with a HDTV 1920 x 1080 display. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 50 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 4000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 429 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Thanks to support for optional Ezcast, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. Since entering the market in 2018, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
