The projector DS318e by Optoma utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 3600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 at a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 6000 hours for this projector's lamp – mathematically sufficient for 8.2 years based on two hours of use per day. Regarding projection size, the value of 3600 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 523 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 349 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. With a value of only 27 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. This model dates back to 2018 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range.
