The hardware properties of the UHD35STx manufactured by Optoma include 3600 ANSI lumens, a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution and a contrast value of 1000000:1. According to Optoma, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 100 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3600 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 610 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 407 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels.
