According to Christie, the Mirage HD7K J model provides 6200 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 2000:1 alongside a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1500 hours. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted on the projection surface without any loss of quality. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 800 cm can be illuminated with 6200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 533 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie.
