A projector from Christie is the CP4420-RGB, whose 3D-Laser-DLP model delivers 20000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 and a contrast of 6000:1. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 50000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 34.2 years at 4 hours a day. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1292 cm can be illuminated with 20000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 861 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly.
