As a projector, the Christie LX45 combines LCD technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 4500 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 1100:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 1000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Lens Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 584 cm can be illuminated with 4500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 389 cm. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
