The hardware properties of the TotalVIEW DLV1920-DX manufactured by Christie include 2800 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast value of 2000:1. According to Christie, the lamp has a durability of 2500 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 538 cm can be illuminated with 2800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 359 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie.
