The MIRAGE WU14K-M model from Christie combines DLP technology in the Event sector with 12500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2100:1 and a native WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 1000 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Lens Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 1136 cm can be illuminated with 12500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 757 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2012, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
