Based on DLP technology, the Christie MIRAGE HD6K-M device delivers 6000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080 and a contrast of 10000:1 as a projector. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted on the projection surface without any loss of quality. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 6000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 787 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 525 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Since entering the market in 2010, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
