Designed for the High-End Homecinema sector, the VPL VW285ES model from Sony features 1500 ANSI lumens and a native UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 resolution. According to Sony, the included lamp lasts up to 6000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 8.2 years possible. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 287 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 191 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 26 decibels. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
