This projector from Sony utilizes Laser-LCD technology and achieves 2400 ANSI lumens and a display in XGA 1024 x 768. According to Sony, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 2400 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 427 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 285 cm. The projector was released in 1999 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony.

I‘ve been using the projector for over 10 years now and it just keeps running and running and running. My PS3 is connected via Componente with 1080i and it still produces a really super sharp picture, except for the black level, which can‘t really get any better thanks to the LCD. Still TOP for gaming.
