The Sony VPL FHZ65 is a Laser-LCD projector that brings 6000 ANSI lumens, a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution alongside a contrast of 10000:1. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction, granting significant leeway during mounting. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 6000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 787 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 525 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. With a value of only 28 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony.
