As a projector, the Barco IQ R400 combines LCD technology with a resolution of WXGA 1366 x 768, and is additionally specified with 4000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 400:1. According to Barco, the included lamp lasts up to 1000 hours. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted on the projection surface without any loss of quality. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco.
