Behind the name RLM G5i Performer is a DLP projector by Barco, whose main features include 4500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1000 hours before a replacement is necessary. The presence of a lens shift function enables flexible vertical or horizontal positioning of the projector without digital interference. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 584 cm can be illuminated with 4500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 389 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
