The projector HDX W20 Flex by Barco utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 20000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2600:1 at a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 1000 hours for this projector's lamp. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1437 cm can be illuminated with 20000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 958 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2013, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
