Behind the name HDQ 2K40 is a DLP projector by Barco, whose main features include 37000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a HD2K 2048 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 500 hours. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 37000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1675 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 1117 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Since entering the market in 2012, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database. For your information: Compatible lamps for this device are no longer available in stores.
