The basic data of the Barco DL.3 Digital Light includes 6500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 as well as a contrast of 2000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 702 cm can be illuminated with 6500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 468 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. The projector was released in 2008 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
