The equipment of the Barco SLM R8 Executive projector includes 8000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 800:1 with a SXGA 1280 x 1024 display. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 500 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 757 cm can be illuminated with 8000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 505 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
