A projector from Barco is the ELM R12, whose DLP model delivers 12000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SXGA 1280 x 1024 and a contrast of 500:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 1000 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 927 cm can be illuminated with 12000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 618 cm. Since entering the market in 2002, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest. Note: According to our information, replacement lamps (original or generic) are no longer available for this projector.
