The basic data of the Benq W9000 includes 1200 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080 as well as a contrast of 8500:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Lens Shift Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 352 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 235 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 25 decibels. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

As you can read below, I expressed my opinion just under 3 weeks ago! In the meantime, I have to say that the device no longer shares my enthusiasm. After almost 180 hours of operation at one point a massive flickering of the picture caused by the lamp on 200 watt setting - so - simply not usable! So people! Better go for the Sony (Black) Pearl. The lamp costs just under 200 more, but this won‘t happen to you! I am very disappointed. Always had something wrong with my projectors up to now! Now again. The part will definitely be returned. Nevertheless, the sharpness, contrast and black level are very good. Nevertheless, my receptors cannot handle such a problem with a 4000 EURO device
In this sense

The projector delivers a dream picture that is unrivaled in this price range! Even if LCDs are somewhat more color-neutral, the contrast and image dynamics are incomparable to DLP FULLHD. I‘ve had the projector for about 2 months now! I am completely satisfied and will remain so for the next few years!
+ Great contrast at almost D65 point
+ Very good if not perfect black level (iris third or second last level)
+ Extreme sharpness! - Only DLP with good optics can do that!
+ Very easy to set up!
+ Virtually inaudible (PS3 is much louder!!!)
- Light RBE (unfortunately only 5x speed at 1080p)
- Heavy!
Other than that, I can only recommend comparing this projector with current LCDs!
