The MP510 is a DLP projector by Benq, whose specifications list 1500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 337 cm can be illuminated with 1500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 225 cm. With a value of only 26 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

I found this projector after searching on this very website. Then I made the mistake of going to forums and reading something about this projector. Nevertheless, I bought it and have now been very, very satisfied for exactly 2 years. The setting options are rather limited, but the projector is designed to be very practice-oriented, which makes this shortcoming seem rather relative. If you go through the technical data according to your wishes, you will realize that it is absolutely unbeatable at this price. daf8zyl@web.de

Rainbow effect
Now I know what it means, rainbow effect. So I‘ll try to describe it: it‘s not just a quick transition from light to dark (I‘ve often read), no, it‘s when you move your eyes over the picture, you briefly see a fat flare in the RGB colors. Symptoms such as headaches, nausea, eye strain, I must have had it all.
My advice: Before you buy a DLP projector, you should first see it somewhere at work. I can‘t say much about the other values, firstly I have no comparison and secondly I was so busy not moving my eyes so as not to see the RBE that I didn‘t care about the rest. Maybe it was just the MP510, but I don‘t think so. That‘s why DLPs with 1 chip are history for me
