The PT-RQ18K is a DLP projector by Panasonic, whose specifications list 16000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 and a UHD (4K2K+) 3840 x 2400 resolution. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 16000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1102 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 735 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket.
