Behind the name EMP 8000 is a LCD projector by Epson, whose main features include 2200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 300:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 2200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 408 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 272 cm. The projector was released in 1999 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson.

Lamp has almost 4,000 hours gone, still runs great. 42db not disturbing unless you want to listen to opera. Stands 650cm from the wall so you can count every pixel on the wall.
Impressive! So I don‘t have a TV and only watch media garbage twice a month

it holds and burns and runs great
although it is loud, but a good air-cooled industrial projector for 11000DM at the time has to be able to take a beating. 8 hours of continuous operation over 3 years, then retired, now been good for 800 hours in the last 7 years, first bulb 3800 hours on it and you don‘t need to buy the original bulb for 800euros, they start at 200euros, no one has a warranty on the old heavyweight anyway. greetings from münster
