The equipment of the Epson EB-990U projector includes 3800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 with a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 display. According to Epson, the lamp has a durability of 6000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 8.2 years based on two hours of use per day. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 3800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 626 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 417 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
