The hardware properties of the EMP 71 manufactured by Epson include 1000 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast value of 300:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. Looking at practical performance, up to 275 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 183 cm. This model dates back to 2001 and is no longer part of Epson's current product range.
