The hardware properties of the MT860 manufactured by Nec include 1700 ANSI lumens, a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution and a contrast value of 800:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Lens Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 359 cm can be illuminated with 1700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 239 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Since entering the market in 2002, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
