A brief introduction to the Nec MT1065. The standard portable LCD projector has an XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast of 800:1. The integrated media player allows files to be played directly. As the projector has horizontal and vertical keystone correction, the projector can be set up with plenty of free space in the room. A picture width of up to 493 cm is possible. However, the image should be smaller in room light. We recommend max. 329 cm. Furthermore, the projector can play 1080P without any problems. The projector was launched in 2002 and is no longer sold by the manufacturer.

Super device, already available for 50-100€ (2014), depending on lamp hours.
Picture is good, only the black level could be lower, but is still within the range for entry-level home theater.
(However, a suitable installation location for the screen should first be considered before talking about the black level (no white walls directly next to the screen (a distance of 1m or more should be maintained). Without a fixed and optimized installation location as well as dark walls and a darkened room, the problem of the black level is secondary for the time being)
Overall, the projector is very versatile and not at all installation-critical, as it has many correction functions and a large zoom range. This means that you get a distortion-free image on the screen, even when set up sideways (however, each correction is accompanied by a slight loss of quality).
Lamps are available from 50€ without housing and 70€ with housing.
Lamp life for me approx. 700 lamp hours, 2nd lamp according to predecessor and service menu. No problems.
Bulray via HD Fury or HDMI to VGA converter possible, as DVI without HDCP.
Conclusion:
For HDTV and 1-2 times DVD/Bluray per week or for the World Cup highly recommended.

Thanks to the innovative integrated image sensor, functions such as autofocus and automatic wall color correction could be implemented.
Using the 3D Reform functions to support projection from different angles and Auto 3D Reform, images can be automatically corrected .
By connecting the USB mouse (included in the standard set), you can operate the projector just like a PC.
USB storage devices and USB memory card readers can be used.
The viewer function allows you to use a PC card to present without a PC.
