The LT260K is a DLP projector by Nec, whose specifications list 2400 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1600:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Regarding projection size, the value of 2400 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 427 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 285 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

Have had the device since January 2004. unfortunately the lamp broke and I had no projector for my home theater for some time. during this time I have seen many projectors and I have not passed a plasma TV unnoticed. nevertheless, I decided to buy a replacement lamp. when I set up my nec now I was very happy that I did not let myself be carried away by other products... despite its age, it‘s a great device: bright, sharp and relatively quiet (in eco mode)!!! Even my new girlfriend commented: Good picture!!! Really nice!!! I have to say that she has 0 knowledge of such things ;-)
