The LT245 is a DLP projector by Nec, whose specifications list 2200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Regarding projection size, the value of 2200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 408 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 272 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 29 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.

we have 15 of these devices in continuous use here in the company (some have more than 10,000 device hours) - without any problems or pixel errors. If I‘m not completely mistaken, there is software that can be used to reactivate individual pixels. Maybe just ask NEC, they have pretty good support.
HDTV signals are not an issue - the box processes them perfectly!
About the projector, I can only say that we did a lot of research before buying the item (it was an investment of over €30,000) and then ordered and compared a selection of 5 devices. We chose the LT245 not only because of the great lens. It has LAN and WLAN and can be positioned almost anywhere (3D reform). The contrast is incredible, there will hardly be a better device in this class in this respect, the picture brightness is better than some devices with more than 3000 ANSI and in ECOmode there is hardly any loss of brightness (we all run in ECOmode then the lamp actually runs for 4000 hours)!

HDTV-ready or not? And...pixel errors
I‘ve had the projector for about 1 1/2 years now and am very satisfied. However, I have had a pixel error in the middle of the picture for about half a year. Does a single pixel error entitle me to exchange the projector?
Also: The resolution of the projector seems to be HDTV-ready...but is it or isn‘t it?
