The technical data of the Epson USA Home Cinema 740HD includes 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 as well as a WXGA 1280 x 800 display. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 5000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 6.8 years possible. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Looking at practical performance, up to 556 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 371 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
