The MP 8790 model is a LED-LCD projector from 3M, intended for Standard-Portabel applications, offering 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 750:1 at XGA 1024 x 768. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projection Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 3500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 515 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 343 cm. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by 3M.
