The projector PJ WX4241N by Ricoh operates as a 3D-DLP device with 3300 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast of 13000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 3500 hours before a replacement is necessary. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 100 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 584 cm can be illuminated with 3300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 389 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since the projector supports Miracast screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Ricoh.
