As a projector, the Ricoh PJ WUL6281 combines DLP technology with a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200, and is additionally specified with 6400 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 100000:1. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 20000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 813 cm can be illuminated with 6400 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 542 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. Since entering the market in 2020, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
