The PJ WU6480 is a DLP projector by Ricoh, whose specifications list 7500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2500 hours. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 880 cm can be illuminated with 7500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 587 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. Since entering the market in 2018, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
