A projector from Ricoh is the PJ WUL6690, whose Laser-DLP model delivers 9600 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 3380000:1. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Lens Shift Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 9600 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 995 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 663 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
