As a projector for the Short Distance sector, the Ricoh PJ WUC4650 is equipped with 3600 ANSI lumens, a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution and a contrast of 450:1. The manufacturer specifies a durability of 20000 hours for the LED light source, covering an estimated 13.7 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 54 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3600 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 610 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 407 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
