Behind the name XD700U is a 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Mitsubishi, whose main features include 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 3000 hours. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for optical image shifting. To plan the individual installation location, a look at the Lens Shift Calculator is recommended. A look at the light output reveals: The 5000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 616 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 411 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Mitsubishi.
