With the Z650, Acer offers a 3D-DLP projector that features 2200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 138 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 2200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
