Behind the name H5350 is a BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Acer, whose main features include 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 454 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 303 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Since entering the market in 2008, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

I‘ve had the projector hanging in my living room for a few years. I‘m thinking about buying a 3D projector. But when I compare the picture quality of normal movies with Full HD projectors, I find it difficult to replace it. Well, you just need to be able to project it directly onto the screen. And you have to use it in ECO mode, otherwise it gets a bit noisy. But otherwise top

Have had the device for 3 years and must say it is acceptable. Unfortunately, it‘s practically useless for slightly lit rooms... But for the price, it‘s probably normal

Acer h5350 with rollolux screen
I‘m super happy with the acer. even in daylight, the device still makes a great picture in my computer room (1.60m x 0.90m) as well as in the living room (3.00 x 1.60m approx.) without darkening.i only have the device connected via the hdmi connection, which is probably why the picture is so good. i would buy the device again and again in a heartbeat. oh and the rainbow effect, nobody in our family or circle of friends has seen this or noticed it with our device.

Nice device
I am satisfied so far. Only the overscan and the fiddling that the native resolution is assumed from the Pc and it does not scale 1152x720 is a bit annoying... otherwise OK

Already OK for the course
I think the projector is really OK for this course, it has all the useful connections and the picture is really GOOD, but if someone here can tell me whether you can call up the total hours of the device via a certain key combination, that would be really great!

Top price/performance - Attention: connection features are not correct
720p for 500⑬. Sounds like a catch, but I haven‘t found it yet.
The only criticism I could come up with would be a slightly lax black level, but even if you play Gears of War (a very dark game) on it, it‘s not noticeable. Only with test DVDs for picture optimization can you guess it.
On the connections: The YUV input was omitted in the description of the Proj.database. The projector *does* have this YUV/component/YPbPr (whatever, red blue green) input!!!

For the money, an absolute top device
as a clubhouse tenant, all 96 games and European Cup games are shown live
when the lamp of our old Hitachi CP-X960 was at the end and about 350 euros were due for a new one, I decided after intensive searching for the Acer H5350 for 550 euros. Another reason for buying was the price of the replacement lamp. The picture via analog input was already very good. The next step was to get a premiere-compatible receiver with HDMI output, but the absolute hit was then connecting a PS 3 and home theater with Blu-ray playback. I would not have expected such a picture quality at this price with a picture size of approx. 2.50mtr x 1.50mtr, and even my critical wife
("you always with your technical crap"), now wants to buy popcorn, coke with lids and straws and ice confectionery!

This is a very good device, but...
...since a few days the digital input no longer works when I use a DVI-HDMI cable between the PC and the projector. It seems that the identifier does not reach the PC. Otherwise, my operating system always knows which device is plugged in and offers me all the resolutions supported by the projector.
I‘ll probably have to send it in.
The remote control really isn‘t the best.
Other than that, it‘s recommendable if it‘s faultless.

Very satisfied
To get an idea of LCD and DLP projectors, I went to Beamer-Discount in Cologne. There I compared an Acer H5350 with an Epson LCD, which was slightly more expensive. Overall, I liked the Acer more. The salesman said that I could see the RBE very well, but I couldn‘t see anything.
The Acer H5350 has now been hanging on the ceiling for 2 weeks and I have seen various films and am very satisfied.
I use the projector on a computer with DVI output. I connected it via DVI to HDMI cable and set a resolution of 1280x720. The result is excellent.
Connection via VGA is significantly worse.
Video camera via Cinch or S-Video also good but not as good as via HDMI
DVD player via Cinch also significantly worse
Projected onto a 300cm x 167cm screen.
The only drawback is the remote control. It‘s too small.
I can only recommend this device.

Childhood illnesses, price but okay
So I‘ve had the projector for three days now and I‘m using it with a PS3 via HDMI and watching SVideo TV as a test. I have no comparison but am absolutely disappointed by the rainbow effect. You can see it all the time and it‘s very annoying. In addition, the projector doesn‘t remember the eco mode and switches back to normal mode when you change the source. The small remote control is really a joke. (small, difficult to operate and not illuminated)
The price is unbeatable (549EUR) but for my taste it‘s no good. I have now ordered an Epson EMP-TW680. The Acer goes back tomorrow.

The RBE spoils everything
I was supposed to get an Optoma HD720x but the dealer suddenly ran out of stock. I took the Acer as a replacement. I had it here for 4 days and have now sent it back. Almost every picture flashes without end due to the rainbow effect. Everyone who has seen the picture has confirmed this. The remote control is also more of a joke than a remote control. I now have an Optoma HD700x which is in the same price segment and there is no RBE to be heard.

quite satisfied
originally i had thought about getting the optoma hd 720. unfortunately it was no longer available and i had to switch to another device. i decided on the acer and have to say that the overall impression of the device is definitely right, although the RBE is quite pronounced in high-contrast scenes in films. however, the 24p support, which works excellently, and the accessory package speak in favor of the acer, because a bag and all cables are also included. i assume that i will keep the device...

Excellent
I‘ve owned this DLP projector for 3 months.
A great device for the price - black level is very good, the colors also look vivid, contrast is also sharp.
The only drawback for me was the remote control, which drained my battery w times within a week (the IR went to permanent light, infrared light was visible with a cam). Sent in, supposedly no faults. But since then no more problems
I think I will still have a lot of fun with the device
Recommendable.

Very satisfied...
.... I am with the Acer H5350.
I bought it 3 months ago and have to say it‘s small, compact, very quiet, especially in ECO mode...absolutely brilliant for DVD and TV watching as far as my requirements are concerned. The TV signal from the cable is no better... but the quality of the DVD picture is really great!

Principally satisfied
The projector is certainly a good product for little money. The picture is sufficiently bright, the only thing I have to criticize is the somewhat low contrast value (which is only noticeable in direct comparison to an LCD TV), as well as a VERY pronounced rainbow effect in dark scenes. It‘s better to watch lighter content with it :) The colors are strong and can be adjusted and adapted extensively. Thanks to the setting options, I was able to display a pristine image on a dark yellow wall. I can definitely recommend it if you don‘t want to/can‘t invest the extra 300€ for the Panasonic PT-AX 200.
