The X110 BrilliantColor DLP projector from Acer has 2500 Ansi lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 and an SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. An image width of up to 435 cm is possible as the projector has 2500 Ansi lumens. However, if room light is available, the picture should be max. 290 cm wide. Furthermore, the projector can play 1080P without any problems. At just 30 decibels, the device is one of the quieter projectors. The model was built by Acer in 2009 and is no longer current, but is still one of the very popular projectors.

An inexpensive projector with high brightness and very good colors. Very suitable for movies or animation, even in brighter rooms. The projector can also be used for presentations. The low resolution of 800x600 pixels is noticeable with slideshows/photo material. Most of the details are missing here - major compromises have to be made
The volume is ok and pleasantly quiet, especially in ECO mode. Connectivity is severely limited by the lack of a digital input (DVI or HDMI), but this is manageable at this price.
Now 4-5 stars would be absolutely justified for this projector if the DLP chip didn‘t fail after a few years. This is no exception. Almost all DLP chips from various ACER projectors (built around 2010) fail sooner or later - often before the lamp dies. At first there are only a few permanent white pixels, then black ones are added and at some point you have a starry sky. The only small consolation: Acer passes on the 5-year warranty from Texas Instruments on the DMD to the customer - so be sure to check the serial number for the date of manufacture/sale ;)

... unfortunately no good DMD chip installed
For the price, the projector is awesome. The brightness is great, even if the room is not completely dark. It‘s perfect for watching movies, even the low native resolution doesn‘t bother. Volume is okay... bearable. Rainbow effect almost imperceptible. Unfortunately, after almost 4 years and only 280 lamp hours, white dots in the picture... The projector is currently being repaired by Acer, as the DMD chip is covered by a 5-year warranty (cause of this). Let‘s see what comes out... if the chip is replaced without any problems, still a perfect all-round projector!

Well, longevity? |

Initially we were enthusiastic about this device.
We only watch movies at weekends, our choice.
The device is attached to the ceiling.
After 6 months there was a strong color flicker.
It was brought back into function by Acer, with the advice to operate the device only under normal dust conditions.
Hello? I‘m a normal city dweller! Now, approx. 18 months later, the same fault has appeared, with a total running time of approx. 1100 hours.

Favorable projector with slight weaknesses! |

Pro:
- The projector produces a really good picture even in bright rooms
- I can only notice the rainbow effect a few times, although I am very sensitive to this
- The projector is very reasonably priced
- The interpolation works great! Even at 1600x1200 no streaks or similar are visible. The lamp has a very good service life compared to other projectors in the price segment
- The menu navigation is simple and easy to understand
- Various hardware adjustments can be made via the menu, such as keystone adjustment
- The projector has a remote control that responds well even in poor visibility
- The projector is quite loud
- The projector overheats easily when the room temperature exceeds 25°C
- The manual focus of the projector only allows minimal changes to the distance!

You probably won‘t find a similarly good or even better projector at this price, the only minus is no HD, otherwise unbeatable, a very clear recommendation to buy.
