Designed for the Short Distance sector, the IN1108ST model from InFocus features 4750 ANSI lumens, a native HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast ratio of 2000000:1. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 100 cm. To make performance data comparable based on the ISO lumen values, we calculated an approximate ANSI lumen value. A look at the light output reveals: The 4750 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 745 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 497 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios.
