Known as the XV Z3100, this BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Sharp features basic specs of 1000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 6500:1 at a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. According to Sharp, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Looking at practical performance, up to 321 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 214 cm. Since entering the market in 2007, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

According to the manual, the Z3100 has the same projection ratio as the Z3000, although a 0.65 and a 0.62 DLP chip is used. This shows how inaccurate the spreadsheet in the manual is. In this case, we calculated with the focal length because the second value after the decimal point in the German brochure is definitely not correct either.
