The XG 3850E model from Sharp combines LCD technology in the Stationary sector with 522 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 100:1 and a native VGA 3 x resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for optical image shifting. To plan the individual installation location, a look at the Projector Calculator is recommended. To ensure objective comparability, an approximate ANSI lumen value was calculated based on the lumen specifications. Looking at practical performance, up to 199 cm can be illuminated with 522 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 133 cm. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by Sharp. For your information: Compatible lamps for this device are no longer available in stores.
Stationary | Permanent installation in the training room and meeting room as well as the conference room. Very narrow picture width and rooms with very little light.
How expensive is the device now according to the description, do you mean 13000€?
I like the device.

Top device of the first generation for the beamer beginner
I have used this device for many years to watch movies.
If the room is darkened, the light intensity is sufficient. It is somewhat large and heavy and is intended more as a stationary device although it has a carrying handle. Everything can be set via the remote control Zoom, image size, brightness.... When the picture is zoomed in, the poor resolution compared to today‘s projectors is noticeable. If you sit about 4m away and the picture is minimally out of focus, it is OK. In about 7 years I have changed the lamp once because it had become too dark. However, I have seen a lot of movies, certainly 3 per week, so the lamp has lasted well. The internal speaker was defective, so I can‘t say anything about it. If you like tinkering, you can clean the device yourself. If you have opened the device (which is not easy) you can easily access the optical components. I can recommend it as an entry-level device for those on a budget, I had a lot of fun with the projector. Unfortunately, it had to make way for a device with XGA resolution.
